La cantante británica estrenó su nuevo sencillo Send My Love (To Your Lover).
Adele, Justin Bieber y The Weeknd, fueron los máximos ganadores de los Billboard Awards 2016, celebrados en el T-Mobile Arena de Las Vegas.
En las categorías latinas, Romeo Santos se llevó el premio al Mejor Cantante del Año, Nicky Jam logró el galardón la Mejor Canción del Año, con El Perdón, y Juan Gabriel, se llevó el premio a Mejor Álbum del Año, con Los Dúos.
Britney Spears comenzó la fiesta musical con sus mejores éxitos. Destacaron Justin Bieber quien estrenó el tema Company y P!nk con Just Like Fire, este será parte del soundtrack de Alicia a través del espejo.
También se presentaron Nick Jonas y Tove Lo con el tema Close. Y, de inmediato, Demi Lovato con el tema Cool For The Summer. El esperado dueto de la pareja Blake Shelton y Gwen Stefani con el tema Go Ahead and Break My Heart fue memorable.
Luego de aceptar el premio Mejor Álbum del Top 200, por medio de un video, Adele estrenó en exclusiva el video de Send My Love. Mientras que Rihanna interpretó el tema Love on the Brain, quien ganó el Chart Achievement Award.
Celine Dion, en una interpretación muy emotiva, cantó Show Must Go On, mientras Rene Charles Angelil, hijo mayor de la estrella, ingresó al escenario y la soprendió al aparecer en el escenario para entregarle el premio a la trayectoria.
Pero la presentación más comentada fue al final, cuando Madonna estuvo acompañada por Stevie Wonder. Una marea de luces púrpura cerró los Billboard Music Awards con el tema Purple Rain de Prince.
